How to Enter Unlock Codes on ANY BlackBerry Bold (9000), Bold 2 (9700), Javelin (8900), Gemini (8520, 9300), 8800, 8820, Curve (8300, 8310, 8320):

Note: NO SIM is needed to unlock the phone. After phone is unlocked, remove the battery, insert SIM as desired and re-insert the battery. Phone MUST be restarted to use the new SIM card.

1) Power on
2) Go to Settings
3) Go to Options
4) Go to Advanced Options
5) Go to Sim Card
6) Press following buttons: mepd – If ‘Network’ says ‘Active’, phone is locked and continue doing instruction Step #7. If ‘Network’ says ‘Inactive’ or ‘Disabled’, phone is already unlocked, no need to do Step #7 since prompt will not show for unlocked phones.
7) HOLD ALT and press: mep2 (Please note that you will NOT see what you type on the screen)

How to Enter Unlock Codes on Blackberry 9800 (Torch):

Note: Insert a non-allowed SIM card into the phone (Example: T-mobile, Orange, Movistar, etc):.

1) Power on
2) Now you will see a prompt asking you to enter the ‘Network MEP code’ which is the Unlock Code povided. This screen will show attempts remaining in parentheses, example: (10). If prompts reads: (0), phone is already hardlocked and entering correct code will still show ‘Code Error, please wait..’.
9) Enter the 16 digit unlock code and then press trackball to confirm (If you delay too long after entering code, screen will disappear and you will need to retype again) and your phone is now unlocked!

How to Enter Unlock Codes on Bell Canada 9700 (Bold 2 Onyx):

Note: You must have a SIM card in your phone to complete these steps, I have found that this procedure works best with an Telus Sim card in the phone (can be active or inactive ). Make sure the phone is not displaying the low battery warning!

1) Power on
2) Go to Settings
3) Go to Options
4) Go to Advanced Options
5) Go to Sim Card
6) Press following buttons: mepd – If ‘Network’ says ‘Active’, phone is locked and continue doing instruction Step #7. If ‘Network’ says ‘Inactive’ or ‘Disabled’, phone is already unlocked, no need to do Step #7 since prompt will not show for unlocked phones.
7) HOLD ALT and press: mep2 (Please note that you will NOT see what you type on the screen)
8) It will ask you for the mep2 code. Enter the 8 digit MEP Code and then press trackball to confirm.
9) After getting message ‘Code Accepted’, HOLD ALT and press the following: mep4 (Please note that you will NOT see what you type on the screen)
10) It will ask you for the mep4 code. Enter the 8 digit MEP Code and then press trackball to confirm. You phone is now unlocked!

How to Enter Unlock Codes on Telus Canada 9700 (Bold 2 Onyx):

Note: You must have a SIM card in your phone to complete these steps, I have found that this procedure works best with an Telus Sim card in the phone (can be active or inactive ). Make sure the phone is not displaying the low battery warning!

1) Power on
2) Go to Settings
3) Go to Options
4) Go to Advanced Options
5) Go to Sim Card
6) HOLD ALT and press: mep4 (Please note that you will NOT see what you type on the screen)
7) It will ask you for the unlock code. Enter the 16 digit unlock code and then press trackball to confirm and your phone is unlocked!

How to Enter Unlock Codes on BlackBerry Pearl (8100, 8110, 8120, 8220):

Note: Remove any SIM that is currently in the phone. After phone is unlocked, remove the battery, insert SIM as desired and re-insert the battery. Phone MUST be restarted to use the new SIM card.

1) Power on
2) Go to Settings
3) Go to Options
4) Go to Advanced Options
5) Go to Sim Card
6) Press following buttons: meppd – If ‘Network’ says ‘Active’, phone is locked and continue doing instruction Step #7. If ‘Network’ says ‘Inactive’ or ‘Disabled’, phone is already unlocked, no need to do Step #7 since prompt will not show for unlocked phones.
7) HOLD ALT (Left side Below @) and press: mepp2 (Please note that you will NOT see what you type on the screen)
8) Now you will see a prompt asking you to enter the ‘Network MEP code’ which is the Unlock Code povided. This screen will show attempts remaining in parentheses, example: (10). If prompts reads: (0), phone is already hardlocked and entering correct code will still show ‘Code Error, please wait..’.
9) Enter the 8 or 16 digit unlock code and then press trackball to confirm (If you delay too long after entering code, screen will disappear and you will need to retype again) and your phone is now unlocked!

How to Enter Unlock Codes on BlackBerry 8830:

Note: SIM is REQUIRED to unlock the phone. SIM card can be inactive, doesn’t need to active. After phone is unlocked, remove the battery, insert SIM as desired and re-insert the battery. Phone MUST be restarted to use the new SIM card.

No AT&T/T-mobile Usage: This is a dual-band phone, it will NOT work in North America but will work fine in Europe, Asia, South America where they use the other set of frequencies.

1) Power on
2) Go to Settings
3) Go to Options
4) Go to Advanced Options
5) Go to Sim Card
6) Press following buttons: mepd – If ‘Network’ says ‘Active’, phone is locked and continue doing instruction Step #7. If ‘Network’ says ‘Inactive’ or ‘Disabled’, phone is already unlocked, no need to do Step #7 since prompt will not show for unlocked phones. If ‘Network’ says ‘Unknown’ this means the phone has no SIM inside the phone or that the phone is not recognizing the SIM card and you need to insert a different SIM card. If ‘Network’ says ‘Blocked’ this means the phone is already hardlocked due to too many wrong attempts and there is nothing to do to unlock this phone
7) HOLD ALT and press: mep2 (Please note that you will NOT see what you type on the screen)
8) It will ask you for the unlock code. Enter the 8 digit unlock code and then press trackball to confirm and your phone is unlocked!

Exception: If phone says Code Error and the attempts stay the same, start off with 10 attempts and still says 10 attempts after enter code, then restart the phone since phone is now unlocked. It is showing 10 attempts repeatedly due to being a glitch.

How to Enter Unlock Codes on BlackBerry 8700/8700c/8700g:

Note: SIM is REQUIRED to unlock the phone. SIM card can be inactive, doesn’t need to active. After phone is unlocked, remove the battery, insert SIM as desired and re-insert the battery. Phone MUST be restarted to use the new SIM card.

1) Power on
2) Go to Settings
3) Go to Options
4) Go to Advanced Options
5) Go to Sim Card
6) Press following buttons: mepd – If ‘Network’ says ‘Active’, phone is locked and continue doing instruction Step #7. If ‘Network’ says ‘Inactive’ or ‘Disabled’, phone is already unlocked, no need to do Step #7 since prompt will not show for unlocked phones.

Note: SIM is REQUIRED to unlock the phone. SIM card can be inactive, doesn’t need to active. After phone is unlocked, remove the battery, insert SIM as desired and re-insert the battery. Phone MUST be restarted to use the new SIM card.

1) Power phone on and turn off the radio (Turn Wireless Off option)
2) Go to Tools
3) Go to Settings
4) Go to Options and select Advanced Options
5) Go to SIM Card
6) Type “MEPPD” (please note that you will not see what you type on the screen)
7) HOLD ALT and press mepp2
8) Enter the Unlock Code
9) Press enter (press on Trackball)
10) Reboot device. Device is now unlocked

How to Enter Unlock Codes on BlackBerry 7100/7130/7130c:

Note: Remove any SIM that is currently in the phone. After phone is unlocked, remove the battery, insert SIM as desired and re-insert the battery. Phone MUST be restarted to use the new SIM card.

1) Power on
2) Go to Settings
3) Go to Options
4) Go to Advanced Options
5) Go to Sim Card
6) HOLD ALT (Left side Below @) and press: mepp2 (Please note that you will NOT see what you type on the screen)
7) It will ask you for the unlock code. Enter it and then press trackball to confirm and your phone is unlocked!

How to Enter Unlock Codes on Blackberry 5xxx, 6xxx, 7xxx (Except for 7100):

Note: After phone is unlocked, remove the battery, insert SIM as desired and re-insert the battery. Phone MUST be restarted to use the new SIM card.
1) Power on
2) Go to Options.
3) Scroll to SIM CARD then press jog dial in once to select it
4) HOLD ALT (Half moon key on the lower left side) and press: mepe (Please note that you will NOT see what you type on the screen)
5) It will ask you for the unlock code. Enter it and then press jog dial once to confirm and your phone is unlocked!

How to Enter Unlock Codes on Verizon BlackBerry Storm (9530) – (INSTRUCTIONS FOR STORM 2 9550 BELOW):

1) Turn off the phone
2) Need a SIM card inserted into the phone (Example: Verizon, At&t, T-mobile)
For Unlocking Storm 2: Try the unlock process with a SIM card besides Verizon
3) Turn on the phone
4) Go to Settings (Button that has dots next to green call button), Click on Manage Connections, Select ‘Turn All Connections Off’
5) Press End Call (Red button)
6) Inside Settings menu, Click Options, then Mobile Network, on the switch technology to ‘Global’ if that has not been done.
Exception: If phone prompts ‘Would you like your Blackberry to automatically select CDMA or GSM based on network availability’, select No.
7) Now click the Back Arrow Button (Next to the Red End Call button) and select Advanced Options and then SIM Card
8) Hit the Settings Button (Button that has dots next to green call button) and select ‘Show Keyboard’
9) Press following buttons: mepd or meppd- If ‘Network’ says ‘Active’, phone is locked and continue doing instruction Step #10. If ‘Network’ says ‘Inactive’ or ‘Disabled’, phone is already unlocked, no need to do Step #10 since prompt will not show for unlocked phones. If ‘Network’ says ‘Unknown’ this means the phone has no SIM inside the phone or that the phone is not recognizing the SIM card and you need to insert a different SIM card. If ‘Network’ says ‘Blocked’ this means the phone is already hardlocked due to too many wrong attempts and there is nothing to do to unlock this phone
10) Type in mep2 or mepp2 and another screen will pop-up prompting for the MEP code which is the unlock code (Please note that you will NOT see what you type on the screen)
Exception: If nothing is prompting up and you are making sure you are selecting each button by press the screen in, do a wipe handheld to reset the phone to manufacturer default: http://forums.crackberry.com/showthread.php?t=110075
11) Enter the 16 digit unlock code, Remember you ONLY have 10 chances to get it right. If use up all attempts, phone is HARDLOCKED
Exception: If phone says Code Error and the attempts stay the same, start off with 10 attempts and still says 10 attempts after enter code, then continue with Step 13, this is a glitch on the phone
12) Press the Enter key (Button that looks like a backwards L arrow)
13) A message will appear saying Code Accepted
14) Turn device off by removing battery, insert SIM of your choice if have not done so already. Turning device off is necessary even if you have SIM of choice inserted.
15) Turn the phone back on
16) Go to Settings, then Options, then Mobile Network, on the third row switch Network Technology to GSM/UMTS.
17) Press the Back Arrow Button to exit and save settings.
18) Return to the main screen by pressing End Call and you should see your phone getting signal
19) As a reminder, if you ever remove the SIM card from your phone, you will need to set the Network Technology as GSM/UMTS again

Issues:
1) If you have issues with the phone not recognizing the network, make sure the radio is on by making sure it is not low on power.
2) If you follow the above instructions and code is accepted with the Network Technology set to GSM/UMTS and still not working, it may be the SIM needs to be replaced with a newer SIM Card.

Removing “Activation Required” on the screen or changing the Phone Number:
1) On the main screen of the phone, press Call (Green Button)
2) Type on the screen: ##000000
3) Press the Call Button
4) For the Mobile Directory Number, put in your phone number in there
5) After you have done that, press the Menu Button to Save the options and the phone will automatically restart
6) After restarting, it will be updated

How to Enter Unlock Codes on Verizon BlackBerry Bold 2 (9650) / Storm 2 (9550):

1) Turn off the phone
2) Need a SIM card inserted into the phone (Example: At&t, T-mobile)
For Unlocking Bold 2 or Storm 2: Try the unlock process with a SIM card besides Verizon, so AT&T or Tmobile SIM cards or any others
3) Turn on the phone
4) If Phone prompts for a MEP code, try entering the code where it says ‘Enter Network MEP Code’. If says ‘Code Error, Please Wait..’ follow the instructions from Step 15.
5) Go to Settings (Button that has dots next to green call button), Click on Manage Connections, Select ‘Turn All Connections Off’
6) Press End Call (Red button)
7) Inside Settings menu, Click Options, then Mobile Network, on the switch technology to ‘Global’ if that has not been done.
Exception: If phone prompts ‘Would you like your Blackberry to automatically select CDMA or GSM based on network availability’, select No.

How to Enter Unlock Codes on Verizon/Sprint BlackBerry Tour (9630):

1) Turn off the phone
2) Need a SIM card inserted into the phone (Example: Verizon, At&t, T-mobile)
3) Turn on the phone
4) Go to Settings
5) Go to Options
6) Go to Advanced Options
7) Go to Sim Card
8) Press following buttons: mepd or meppd- If ‘Network’ says ‘Active’, phone is locked and continue doing instruction Step #9. If ‘Network’ says ‘Inactive’ or ‘Disabled’, phone is already unlocked, no need to do Step #9 since prompt will not show for unlocked phones. If ‘Network’ says ‘Unknown’ this means the phone has no SIM inside the phone or that the phone is not recognizing the SIM card and you need to insert a different SIM card. If ‘Network’ says ‘Blocked’ this means the phone is already hardlocked due to too many wrong attempts and there is nothing to do to unlock this phone

How to Enter MSL Code (THIS IS FOR MSL/SPC CODES, NOT UNLOCK CODES) on Sprint BlackBerry Tour (9630):

1) From the mainscreen of the BlackBerry, press the green call button to enter the phone
2) Type in ##MSLCODE then the green talk button (ie: ##123456 Green talk button)
3) In the CDMA service edit screen, delete the number in the first row (000000xxxx) and replace it with your current phone number
4) Press the menu key and choose save
5) The device will re-boot
6) When the device re-boots, Activation Required will be gone and the active carrier name will now appear

How to Enter Unlock Codes on HD2 (Leo/Desire/Legend), Aria, G1, G2, 2125, 3125, 8100, 8125, 8525, 8900/8925 (Tilt), P4600 (Fuze), Dash, Dash 3G, Wing, Shadow, Excalibur 100, MDA, SDA, Touch Pro 2 (TP2), myTouch 3G, Magic:

1) Power on with Non-allowed SIM card

3) Enter code using the ON-SCREEN keyboard (This is if the screen HAS an ON-SCREEN keyboard) when unlocking a Pocket PC Phones
4) Press Ok
5) Phone Unlocked

Not registered on network: If having this issue, go to Wireless Controls, then Mobile Networks, then Network Operators. If have AT&T for example, it should have an option to select AT&T and registers you on the network.

Problems with HD2 codes: If for any reason code says incorrect code, make sure to turn off ‘swype’ on the keyboard. Swype is the ’12Num’ key on the phone.

Problems with bypassing G1 GMail account: This link provides information on how to bypass the login if are having issues when trying to use your phone with AT&T: Set-up AT&T on G1.

1) Power on

It’s because you or somebody else has already entered too many wrong codes. You just have to leave the phone ON on the error message and after 1hr – 8hrs the message “Enter Special Code” will appear again!

Issues with Q700 Motorola Slide Unlock Codes
If receive message: “WAITING FOR ACTIVATION A welcome screen will appear within 48 hours after purchase. If does not, call Custumer Care to check your account status. Until then, press menu to place emergency calls,” you will need to press menu and the letter “L” at the same time, and the phone will be working.

How to Enter Unlock Code on LG P999/G2X:

1. Turn ON your T-mobile LG P999/G2X without Sim card.
2. Dial 2945#*999# on your LG G2X

How to Enter Unlock Codes on Sidekick (all models):

1) Insert a SIM card from a different network provider and turn on the Sidekick. A dialog screen comes up, prompting you for the code.

2) The box will say:

3) In the upper right hand corner, the SIM is flashing where the signal strength should be. On entering the code, a dialog box comes up saying authenticating code. It’s unlocked. Enjoy.
In case you see the ‘Waiting for Activation Screen’, hit the menu key and the letter L key at the same time. The menu key is the top left key. By doing this, the waiting screen will go away and you will be able to make calls. For best results, hold down Menu and the L key until the Waiting for Activation screen disappears.

NOTE:
1) When doing the first 5 Steps, you need to do it fast.
2) If you get NCK: (0), this means the phone is hard locked. The phone cannot be unlocked since there have been more than 5 wrong attempts.
3) If you have tried a few times and are getting ‘Not Allowed’, your phone cannot unlock due to too many wrong attempts made on the phone. Phone has been hardlocked.

How to Enter Unlock Codes on TM506:

1) Insert a T-Mobile SIM into the device.
2) From the main screen, press the Navigation key left.

How to Enter Unlock Codes on Treo 650, 680, Centro:

1) Remove Treo battery, unplug cable
2) Insert incorrect a not allowed SIM card (one the phone does not accept)
3) Power on your Treo, ‘Sim not allowed’ is displayed, click OK
4) Go to the dial pad, and use the stylus to enter code *#*#CODE#. Then press ‘Dial’. (substitute the word “code” with the unlock code we gave you).
5) Phone will reset and display ‘sim lock removed’

Ensure you enter the codes in this manner *#*#CODE# (e.g. *#*#12345678#)

Troubleshooting
Error Message: “The SIM Lock has NOT been removed from this phone”
Solution 1: Please make sure you are entering the correct code and enter it using this method *#*#CODE# dial
Solution 2: If the phone says that the SIM lock has not been removed, ensure that the phone radio (wireless mode) is on.

If still having the error message “The SIM Lock has NOT been removed from this phone,” the phone is likely refurbished and cannot unlock by code. Refurbished phones from the manufacturer are reflashed and take on a new IMEI. Because of this, the only way to unlock the phones is by software unlocking the phone.

How to Enter Unlock Codes on Palm Pre Plus or Treo 750:

1) Power on with incorrect sim, enter unlock code when prompted
2) Enter code using ON-SCREEN (NOT physical keys) keyboard when unlocking a Pocket PC Phones

If above doesn’t work

Wait for the next timout to complete. Then HOLD the white key button on the far left of the keyboard and then enter the unlock code with the PHYSICAL keys, not On-Screen.

How to Enter Unlock Codes on 2, 3G, 3GS, 4G:

Please Download latest version of Itunes from Apple Website: Link

Once you do this please Connect the Phone via the usb cable while Itunes is on.

If you phone is not the current version (most updated), it will prompt you to update.

Please update to current version (which is most likely 4.3.1)

Please insert any micro-sim card (Please make sure the sim card is cut to fit in the slot)

It should automatically detect the new network. If it does not please go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network settings. It will take about 30 seconds.

It will not show on Itunes that the phone is unlocked. You will see the phone Searching for signal. If it does not please do a Restore and restart the phone.

It should now be unlocked permanently!
